Just over a mile off of i12 in the charming town of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, lies the tranquil haven of Fireside RV Resort. As an avid traveler always on the lookout for hidden gems, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a stay at this resort. From its serene surroundings to its top-notch amenities, Fireside RV Resort offers a delightful escape for RV enthusiasts and vacationers alike.
The moment you drive into Fireside RV Resort, you're greeted by the breathtaking beauty of nature. Surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees, the resort provides a shady backdrop for weekend camping or an extended vacation. Whether lounging outside your RV or taking a leisurely stroll around the grounds, you can't help but feel a sense of peace and tranquility when hearing the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the trees.
Amenities
One of the highlights of Fireside RV Resort is its amenities. From spacious RV sites equipped with full hookups to clean and modern restrooms, every aspect of the resort is designed with comfort and convenience in mind. The resort also features amenities such as a sparkling swimming pool for families, a lazy river, an adults only pool with a swim up full service bar, and a large deck overlooking the fishing pond. Here you will find activities being hosted, live music and a full service bar. This area is also perfect for gathering with fellow campers and sharing stories under the stars.

Whether you prefer the ease of a pull-through site or the coziness of a back-in spot, this resort has you covered, they even have multiple buddy sites should you wish to bring friends and family with you. Additionally, families with children will appreciate the two well-maintained playgrounds, providing ample space for little ones to enjoy. For those who love to fish or enjoy unwinding by the water, Fireside RV Resort features a large fishing pond with a walking path around it.

What truly sets Fireside RV Resort apart is its warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine hospitality by the resort staff. Whether I needed assistance making sure the campsite could accommodate my 43 foot fifth wheel or recommendations for local eats, everyone was more than happy to lend a helping hand. It's this sense of community that makes Fireside RV Resort feel like a home away from home.
Nearby Attractions and Entertainment
While Fireside RV Resort offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation and fun, the nearby town of Ponchatoula is a great small town to explore. Known as the "Strawberry Capital of the World," Ponchatoula boasts quaint shops, antique stores, incredible dining, and vibrant festivals celebrating its agricultural heritage. During my stay, I enjoyed exploring the town's historic downtown area and indulging in delicious strawberry beignets from local cafes. I enjoyed the food trucks, eating traditional cajun cooking and even the drive through daiquiri shop!
Camping at Fireside RV Resort in Ponchatoula, LA, exceeded all expectations. From its naturalistic setting to its exceptional facilities and welcoming atmosphere, every aspect of the resort contributed to a memorable and relaxing getaway. Whether a seasoned RVer or it’s your first-time camping, I highly recommend adding Fireside RV Resort to your list of must-visit destinations.
