In a recent article on the RV Business website, they report about Heartland's Toy Hauler fifth wheel growth in sales. In 2016, the online magazine cites sales of retail registrations for one of Heartlands premier offerings year-over-year had increased by 45%.
"Our market share growth for the Road Warrior and Edge has increased significantly," stated General Manager Andy Wesdorp in a press release. "In addition, we launched two new floorplans for Edge this past fall, dialing in on specific features and amenities that are trending with consumers. The typical toy hauler buyer has changed from five years ago and we continue to adapt and build product that targets those hot button features with consumers. Our dealers have taken note, and responded by stocking more units which has resulted in phenomenal retail growth."
With the RV industry as a whole continuing to show increases in sales across the board in 2016, it appears 2017 will be more of the same and that's a good thing. Not only for Heartland but its' surrounding economy. The market seems to only be getting better for the Elkhart-based rv manufacturer. President of Heartland RV's Chris Hermon was noted saying,
"Heartland is focused on bringing innovative product design and trending features to market that match consumer needs in this very dynamic segment. Toy haulers are one of the fastest moving products in our portfolio as RVers continue to find new uses beyond just hauling ATVs, motorcycles and other toys."
