On Wednesday, June 27, Heartland RVs kicked off Thor Industries RV Day series with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County's Elkhart city clubhouse, the Brian and Jeannelle Brady Center - named in honor of one of Heartland's founders, Brian Brady.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is colaborating with Thor Industries to provide four RV Day events - each hosted by a Thor Industries subsidiary - for clubs this summer. In addition to Heartland's event in the city of Elkhart, events will be held in Goshen, Middlebury, and Nappanee.
The theme of Heartland's RV Day event was "Circus". Activities included carnival games, face painting, pictures, prize giveaways, popcorn and cotton candy. Additionally, Heartland brought in a Bighorn 3160EL fifth wheel, and a North Trail 22CRB and Prowler 286BHS travel trailer so that the kids could get a taste of Heartland's RVs.
Members of Heartland RV's sales and recruiting team were at the event to educate the kids on RVs and the types of jobs available in the RV industry. The boys and girls were also informed of the positive impact the RV industry has on the local community and economy.
Approximately 200 kids participated in Heartland's RV Day. Many of them took home candy, giveaway prizes like Play-Doh and children's movies, and Heartland swag.
