All New 2025 Bighorn Fifth Wheel
Meet The Stunning, All-New Bighorn On Its 20th Anniversary
Twenty years ago, the very first Heartland Bighorn fifth wheel rolled off the line and onto the open road. Now, we’re celebrating its success over the last two decades by releasing all-new, completely redesigned 20th-anniversary Bighorn fifth wheel models. As a brand that’s always been popular with campers who travel south for the winter and people who like to roam, the new Bighorn models include all the features and amenities RV owners expect to make a coach feel like home – and more.
What's New For Our Bighorn Fifth Wheel
We’ve added new conveniences, updated the interior color schemes and finishes to match current design trends, and included a few new bells and whistles for people who love the latest technology. In fact, the 20th anniversary Bighorn fifth wheel models recently won multiple awards from the RV Industry, including RV News - RV of the Year, one of RV Business’s 2025 Top RV Debuts, and a spot on RV PRO’s Best of Open House list. We hope campers will love them just as much.
The new fifth wheel models for 2025 currently include the Bighorn 331RL, 391MFB, and 392DS, and we have plans to release two more for a total of five. The models currently range from 39 to 44 feet long and weigh around 15,000 lbs. dry, with coach options that sleep up to six guests.
Updates for All Bighorns
Every new Bighorn fifth wheel model will include residential kitchen appliances like a 16 cu. ft., 12V fridge, 30” microwave, and a four-burner gas cooktop and oven. We’ve also included a roomy pantry, a dedicated coffee or wine bar, and a gorgeous oversized copper sink, which adds a touch of glamor to the solid surface countertops.
Innovative Bighorn Fifth Wheel Features
All Bighorn floorplans have clever little touches like spaces that make convenient computer workstations, with multiple power outlets and lighting, o a hidden pull-out drawer on the fireplace mantel that can store your laptop out of sight. Ceiling-mounted Bluetooth speakers let you create an immersive movie night or listen to music during the day. Plus, dimmable LED strip lights can set the perfect tone for any mood, whether you want to be productive, calm and contemplative, or romantic over a bottle of wine. There’s even shoe storage built right into the steps leading up to the upper deck and a dedicated pull-out garbage can holder in the kitchen, so you can always tuck your trash out of sight.
In climate control, we’ve included a 35,000 BTU furnace and a 5,000 BTU LED fireplace for warmth. Our Trio Airflow A/C system cools air faster, more efficiently, and quieter than most other models, creating overall cooler temperatures for maximum comfort. Another handy tech feature? The 380-watt standard solar package comes with two 190-watt solar panels, a 30-amp charge controller, and a 2,000-watt inverter, so you can keep your heating and cooling system running even when you’re not at a campsite.
New Bighorn Fifth Wheel Exterior Features
And as far as towing goes, all new Bighorn models will include Goodyear Endurance tires and a standard tire pressure monitoring system, plus heavy-duty 7,000 lb. axles and a high-performance suspension system for a smoother and more secure journey. You’ll have a smoother setup at camp, too, thanks to our Titan 6-point hydraulic leveling system, which gets your coach leveled, steady, and ready to enjoy in less time.
New Bighorn Fifth Wheel Floorplans
Bighorn 391MFB
At the 2024 Open House, the Bighorn 391MFB was a big favorite with dealers and campers alike. Although it has room for more guests, it makes an ideal couple’s coach, with a spacious front bedroom suite. The full bath at the very front of the trailer includes dual sinks, a linen closet, and a walk-in closet with washer/dryer prep. The shower has a one-piece fiberglass shower surround and a residential shower head with body sprayers. In the bedroom, there’s a 40” LED TV you can watch from the king bed, and you’ll find under-bed storage, a dresser with hidden storage, and bedside cubbies to hold your CPAP machines or phone.
In the living area, there’s an L-shaped sofa that can convert to a bed for overnight guests. A swing-out desk gives you flexible workspace or extra seating at dinner, and the full Bighorn suite of kitchen features will have you creating gourmet meals on the road. There’s even a second half-bath just off the living area, so guests don’t have to walk through the primary suite every time they need to use the facilities.
Bighorn 392DS
By contrast, the Bighorn 392DS model includes a second full-bedroom suite and loft, perfect for families traveling with kids. Starting at the back of the coach, the floorplan includes a small full bathroom with a door to the outside, so guests can use it without disturbing anyone asleep in the bedroom next door. A queen bed faces the wardrobe and dresser storage, and there’s a TV mounted on the wall. Above the bedroom, there’s overhead loft space you can access from a ladder in the living room.
The living area features a couch facing a 55” smart TV and an electric fireplace, and a kitchen designed for home cooks includes residential appliances, a single-basin sink, and a walk-in pantry. Up a few steps, you’ll find the main full bathroom and primary bedroom suite, which holds a king-sized bed, washer/dryer prep, and tons of storage for clothing and personal items.
Bighorn 331RL
The 331RL model is the shortest coach of all three current 2025 models, but it still includes everything you might need. A spacious front bedroom has a king bed, wardrobe, and walk-in closet with washer/dryer prep. Next door, there’s a full bathroom with a linen closet and plenty of counter space. A full-service kitchen includes two pantries – one that’s right next to the fridge and another hidden behind the TV, where you can stash items for privacy.
There’s seating for five in the living area, with double theater seats and a tri-fold sofa that converts to a bed. And a swing-out desk seats two people as a table, a work desk, or a place for kids to do arts and crafts.
With all these new features and floorplans designed to give campers more of what they want, we hope the 20th anniversary Bighorn will make a big splash – and we’ll have two more models in the lineup launching in 2025!
